The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has requested the Treasury to provide Rs. 240 million to cover the salaries and other expenses of its employees.
They have made this request to the Treasury as they do not have enough money to pay salaries and other expenses due to the declining income of the corporation.
Also, the gap between the revenue and expenditure of the corporation is around Rs. 65 million.
The Rupavahini Corporation has 862 employees. And the corporation states that it costs them around 90 million rupees a month to pay their salaries.
