It is reported that six provincial directors have resigned from the National Police Commission with effect from today.
Accordingly, the Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North Western, Central and Western Provincial Directors have resigned from the National Police Commission.
They have resigned due to differences of opinion with the Chairman of the National Police Commission.
Responding to this, the Chairman of the National Police Commission, former IGP Chandra Panranando has said that the reason for their resignation was their own inefficiency.
At present, directors of Uva, Southern, North Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces have submitted their resignation letters to the Secretary of the National Police Commission, Samanthi Mihindukula.
