The chief engineer of the Udugampola Office of the Road Development Authority has been arrested for assaulting a female officer attached to the same office, the Police said today (25).
The video of the incident was circulated on social media yesterday (24).
State Minister Nimal Lansa said in Parliament that the Government condemns incidents of this nature.
