President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed Commissioners to the Mediation Boards Commission.
According to an Extraordinary Gazette issued yesterday (31), the appointment is effective from 22 October 2022.
The Commissioners have been appointed under the provisions of Section 2(1) of the Mediation Boards Act, No. 72 of 1988.
The President has appointed Justice Hector Yapa, a retired Supreme Court Judge as the Chairman of the Mediation Boards Commission.
The remaining members of the Commission are as follows:
- Justice Nimal Dissanayake (Retired Judge of the Supreme Court)
- Justice Chandradasa Nanayakkara (Retired Judge of the Court of Appeal)
- Mr. Vivekananthan Puvitharan, PC
- Mr. J. W. S. Siriwardana
