A man is tied to a tree and killed in Pakistan

A Pakistani man has been hanged to death by a mob for allegedly burning pages of the Koran, according to Pakistani media. The incident comes two months after the burning of Priyantha Kumara of Sri Lanka in Sialkot, Punjab, due to the salvage of a religious poster.

More than 80 people have been arrested in connection with the incident, police said. Sources say that the victim had rushed to two nearby police officers seeking protection.

In this regard, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said that he will ensure that justice is done to this person by dealing with the full seriousness of the law in the courts here. He further stated that tough decisions will be taken against those police officers who have neglected their duties.

However, police spokesman Munarwa Hussein said the man was found tied to a tree and was already dead.

Human rights groups say Pakistan’s rules on Islam are unfair to other minorities. and they also said that people were venting their personal anger by violating the rules.
These organizations requested the Prime Minister to pay attention to this matter.
