The Minister in charge of the Ministry of Public Security, Dr. Sarath Weerasekera had stated on the 12th that the suspects arrested in connection with the violence against women and children in this country will be released after identifying them and their photographs and information will be released to the media.
He also said that he believed that the wave of crime could be stopped to some extent by causing shame or fear.
