Sudesh Nandimal, General Secretary of the Committee to Protect the Rights of Prisoners, says that there are eyewitnesses to the killings of inmates at the Mahara Prison and that a background of destroying their evidence .
He says that these witnesses in Mahara Prison now have to be with the murderous officers and at least they have not been transferred so far.
He also said that information has been received that the detainees in Mahara are being assaulted and told not to eat or drink.
