The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified a number of steps that can be taken when traveling on public transport following the second wave of the corona epidemic in Sri Lanka.
Following is a video released by the organization showing the following 9 steps that can be taken when traveling on public transportation in a hygienic manner.
-Avoid traveling during rush hour as much as possible.
-Try to keep a distance of at least a meter with others,
-After touching common surfaces, clean your hands with an alcohol-based cleansing solution.
-Avoid touching public places such as handrails, walls, door locks,
-Wear a face mask,
-Whenever possible you should have at least one seat between you and the other passengers,
-Avoid touching your eyes, ears, nose,
-Use a piece of tissue paper on your elbow when coughing or sneezing,
-As soon as you reach your destination, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water.
