The government has decided to suspend the distribution of gas throughout the country with immediate effect. This was announced by the State Ministry of Cooperative Marketing Development and Consumer Protection on the 2nd evening. In this case, the distribution of Litro and Laugfs gas will be suspended until further notice. LIFRO confirms this information and Laugfs says it has not yet been notified of such a decision.
Commenting on the recent gas explosions island wide, Parliamentarian Harin Fernando said that there was a conspiracy behind the gas explosions to sell the lucrative Litro Gas Company.
