Minister of Public Administration, Dinesh Gunawardena says that the government is taking necessary steps to make Friday a ‘work from home day’ for public servants.
Accordingly, the number of days government servants will have to report to work physically will be reduced to 4 days a week, the Minister said.
The Minister also said that he hopes to submit the proposal in this regard to the Cabinet and take a policy decision. He said that these steps are being taken due to the current fuel and financial crisis in the country.
