The former chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has strongly denied allegations made by the former President that a relative of a deceased LTTE activist was admitted to the HRCSL.
Responding to President Maithripala Sirisena’s statement before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Attacks that she had to be summoned for questioning about her responsibilities in office, former chairperson of the commission Dr. Deepika Udagama said it was the first time such an allegation had been heard.
