Despite having 4 health ministers, the President has to fulfill responsibility! – Ravi Kumudesh

Ravi Kumudesh, President of the Institute of Experts in Medical Laboratories, said that the Ministry of Health does not have to be extremely poor to import vaccinations and that the Ministry is not only dependent on the government but also has money from various funds in the world.
He pointed out that there is competition between these vaccinations and it has not yet been confirmed which one is better and which is better for Sri Lanka. He said that there is no situation in Sri Lanka to study it and that the date of the vaccine’s arrival in Sri Lanka is yet to be announced.
The Ministry of Health is also in a state of disarray. There were four ministers but it seems that there is confusion as to who is directly responsible for this and who is responsible for the distribution of the vaccine after it is brought to Sri Lanka.
Therefore, the direct intervention of the President is essential to take a neutral decision in this regard, he said, adding that even if an immunization vaccine is introduced tomorrow, it will take at least two months for it to be given to the public, as the mechanism of the health service should be prepared for it.
