The Federation of Sri Lanka Media Workers’ Trade Unions (SLFTUC) calls on the military authorities in Myanmar to provide the necessary environment for journalists and media institutions to carry out their activities freely and without hindrance, while respecting media freedom.
Myanmar media colleagues join hands with the Federation of Media Workers’ Trade Unions (IFJ) and Asia-Pacific affiliated media organizations in Sri Lanka to arrest the democratically elected representatives of Myanmar and seize control of the country by the Myanmar military. This has been stated in the release.
