It is reported that the Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa is going to visit the United States of America to discuss with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank and to make the necessary arrangements to restructure the debt.
Accordingly, the Minister of Finance will leave for the United States next April. There will also be discussions in Washington on a program to overcome the current economic crisis.
In this regard, Sri Lanka will receive some economic relief package from the above two institutions to overcome the current financial crisis.
