A magnitude 6.0 earthquake shakes Melbourne, Australia.
The epicenter was reported 200 kilometers (124 miles) northeast of Melbourne, near Mansfield, a rural town in the state of Victoria. 10 (six miles) deep.
However, no tsunami alert was issued for the quake.
The quake came amid protests against a lockdown imposed by Australia to curb the spread of the corona virus, which is spread by the Delta variety.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage from the quake.
The Victoria State Emergency Response Team said there were reports of building damage in several areas of the Melbourne metropolis.
