Dr. Samantha Ananda, Media Spokesman of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) says that those people who were with Minister Rajitha at that age have now started talking again and are spreading misinformation throughout the society against the doctors who are involved in the controlling Covid pandemic.
He says that the doctors have so far approved Rs. 70,000-80,000. But it should be ascertained that the doctors have actually approved the amount as well.
He said that government medical officers requested a special allowance for doctors who work day to night and engaging directly with Covid patients as an association from the ministry and that was not a new allowance.
Dr. Samantha Ananda says that when Rajitha Senarathne was destroying health sector, these speakers were silent but now they are obstructing the doctors who are at the frontline of the anti-Covid mission.
He pointed out that our doctors did not hide without treating patients like foreign doctors, and said that the Government Medical Officers’ Association should not be slandered politically. He added that what some people are now trying to do is conspiring to bring their masters back to power.
