Secretary of the Waythmaga organization Anura Fernando said that ,Brandix is a company that has brought a lot of foreign exchange to this country, but now this company has done a lot of issues to the country at this time and they should be investigated and punished.
Anura Fernando expressed these views during an interview with Chamuditha Samarawickrema on program called Truth with Chamuditha.
During the discussion, Anura Fernando further said that the virus had actually arrived in Sri Lanka due to an order received from Brandik in India, which was about to be canceled due to the escalation of its Covid status, and the order had to be placed through Brandik companies in Sri Lanka. He says that there have been a number of serious irregularities in the quarantine process for workers brought to Sri Lanka from India.
Responding to a question regarding the fact that the head of Brandix was a leader of the Wiythmaga organization and that he had supported the government on a large scale, Mr. Fernando said that he was not aware that any money had been given to the present government and that he was not a Wiythmaga supporter or a member. He also stated that he was expressing the official position of the Viyatmaga organization.
Commenting on the steps to be taken in the future, Mr. Fernando said that since many people from the organization have been given ministerial posts, ambassadorships and other posts, we hope to involve a group of young people who can think outside the box.
