The Russian government has offered to support the crackdown on extremists in Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, information has come to light about 20 foreign organizations that provide funds to extremists in Sri Lanka under the guise of humanitarian aid.
It is reported that the Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Yuri Mater Mate has informed President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Minister of Public Defense Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara that this information will be provided to Sri Lanka.
Intelligence has found that there are currently 1000 extremists operating secretly in Sri Lanka.
Therefore, for the first time, the SFB Intelligence Service is also providing information on foreign extremist organizations and ‘app’ sites where they have links with extremists in Sri Lanka.
However, neither the Sri Lankan military nor the CID nor the intelligence services have the facilities to monitor these foreign extremist organizations.
